The short version
Sukoon does not sell personal data and does not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking. The apps you choose to guard, and your detailed app-usage information, stay on your device. A few features — the AI Coach, feedback, and Qur'an recitation audio — make network requests, and only when you use them.
Questions, or want data deleted? Email contact@softutopia.com.
Sukoon is a mindful screen-time and focus app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro, published by Softutopia. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It also covers this website.
1. Information stored on your device
The following is stored in Sukoon's private app container or its shared app-group container:
- Protected-app selections, Screen Time tokens, limits, and shield settings.
- Notification and appearance preferences.
- Prayer tracking and reminders.
- Qur'an reading progress and cached recitation clips.
- Habits, streaks, focus sessions, gratitude entries, and Mindful Score.
Apple's Screen Time frameworks expose selected applications through privacy-preserving tokens. Sukoon does not transmit those tokens, or the identities of the apps you select, to our servers.
Deleting Sukoon removes information stored in its local containers, subject to normal operating-system backup behaviour.
2. AI Coach and AI insights
When you choose to use the AI Coach, Sukoon sends:
- The message you enter.
- A device-specific identifier for this app installation.
- The request time.
This is sent to our secured processing endpoint to generate and return a response. When you request an AI wellness insight, Sukoon sends aggregate values such as focus minutes, break count, hydration count, and walking minutes, used to generate that insight.
Do not enter information into AI features that you do not want processed by this service.
3. Feedback and diagnostics
When you choose to submit feedback, Sukoon sends:
- Your feedback category and message.
- An optional email address.
- Device model, operating-system version, app version, locale, and submission time.
We use this to investigate the report, respond when requested, maintain service security, and improve Sukoon.
4. Qur'an recitation audio
Recitation clips are requested from EveryAyah and cached locally. Like any internet request, the provider may receive standard network information such as your IP address, request time, and request headers. Sukoon does not send your Screen Time selections, precise location, or advertising identifier with these requests.
5. Voice input
Voice input uses Apple's Speech framework after you grant microphone and speech-recognition permission. Availability and processing depend on your device, language, system settings, and Apple's services. Sukoon uses the recognised text only for the feature in which you started voice input.
6. Location
If you grant location permission, Sukoon uses your location on-device to calculate local prayer times. Sukoon does not send precise location to our servers.
7. Community and leaderboard
Community and leaderboard features are not enabled in this release. Sukoon does not create a Community account or sync Community statistics while the feature remains disabled. If Community is enabled in a future version, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before release, and the feature will explain its account, synchronisation, retention, and deletion behaviour.
8. How we use information
We use information only to:
- Deliver features you explicitly request.
- Generate AI responses and wellness insights.
- Investigate feedback and technical failures.
- Maintain the availability and security of these services.
We use a secured processing endpoint for AI and feedback features. Network providers may process standard connection information needed to deliver requests. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
9. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it in the app, where controls are available, or uninstall Sukoon. Feedback and operational records may be retained while needed to investigate a request, provide support, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
To request deletion of server-side information associated with an AI or feedback request, email contact@softutopia.com or use Settings → Send Feedback inside the app.
10. Your choices
You can decline or revoke location, microphone, speech recognition, notifications, or Screen Time access in iOS Settings. Features that need a declined permission stay unavailable, while unrelated features keep working. You can also choose not to use the AI, feedback, voice input, or Qur'an streaming features at all.
11. Security and international processing
Network requests use HTTPS. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
12. Children's privacy
Sukoon is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in a user's country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or trackers. Nothing you do here is profiled or shared. Our host, Vercel, processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) to deliver and protect the site. Following the App Store link takes you to Apple, whose own privacy policy applies from that point.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as Sukoon changes. The effective and last-updated dates at the top identify the current version.
15. Contact
Privacy questions, deletion requests, or anything else: contact@softutopia.com. You can also use Settings → Send Feedback inside Sukoon. See the support page for what to include so we can answer quickly.
